 Stretching for over 16km, the beautiful ‘Blue Flag’ beaches of Orihuela Costa are clean and safe and very popular in the summer for holidays, but during ‘out of season, they are still very much used. Boasting 320 days of sunshine a year, nothing is more relaxing and stress-free than wandering along one of these beautiful beaches in quieter times. Christmas Day is a lovely time with primary tourists on the beach wearing Father Christmas hats, cracking open their bottles of champagne and picnic boxes and enjoying the day on the beach. In Spain, "near the beach" typically means a property within walking distance or a very short drive of the coastline, often within one to two kilometres.
