Boasting 320 days of sunshine a year, nothing is more relaxing and stress-free than wandering along one of these beautiful beaches in quieter times. Christmas Day is a lovely time with primary tourists on the beach wearing Father Christmas hats, cracking open their bottles of champagne and picnic boxes and enjoying the day on the beach. New Year’s Day is when the local Spanish residents prefer to have their stroll along the coast.  In slightly cooler weather, it’s lovely to walk along the beach to Torrevieja from the Orihuela Costa and then back again. Take in the beautiful ‘marbled streets’, the ‘Walled City’, the historic Roman Theatre, magnificent architecture, and much more.
